WORKSHOP--
BELLYDANCE IS A DANCE MADE FOR WOMEN BY
WOMEN. SOFT FEMININE MOVES STRENGTHEN THE INNER MUCSCLES OF
THE PELVIS IN A WAY NO OTHER EXERCISE CAN, THUS PREPARING THE BODY
FOR CHILDBIRTH. THIS WORKSHOP EXPLORES THE DEEP CORE MUSCLES
OF THE PELVIS USING BELLYDANCE AND CONCEPTS OF YOGA, GYROTONICS,
ROLFING, AND KINESIOLOGY. (FOR THE HEALTH OF ALL
WOMEN)
SHADES OF WINGS--
MOVES TO EMOTE DIFFERENT MOODS AND PASSIONS.. THE DARK SIDE,
THE WILD SIDE, FLOORWORK WITH WINGS, etc.. A
WORKSHOP THAT IS DIVIDED INTO
DIFFERENT SECTIONS TO ADDRESS DIFFERENT MOODS AND STYLES WITH
WINGS.
FOR EXAMPLE 1 HOUR SECTIONS WITH EACH SECTION
UTILIZING MOVES AND TECHNIQUES OF A DIFFERENT CHARACTER. FOR
EXAMPLE:
-- TRANCE WINGS- using
trance movements like zar and whirling where the wings are so
attractive
-- DARK WINGS- eerie
moves to accompany gothic-like grotesque
characters
-- WILD WINGS- like a
bird fighting or after prey
-- SPANISH FLAIR- using
wings with the style of a flamenco dancer with a shawl or a toreador
with his cape
-- FLOORWORK WITH WINGS- learning how to maneuver wings on the
floor

Flesh," Ayshe will teach her solo composition from the Venus
Uprising Spring Show.)

WINGS-- CHOREOGRAPHY FROM THE AMAZON AND THE SORCERESS--
(A
departure from the typical 'floaty' cabaret use of wings, Ayshe will
share stronger, aggressive movements that can be done with wings to
express more impassioned and unbridled emotions-- Also useful for
the darker moods of tribal and gothic styles.)
